The best concert you have seen, of all time?
Question:
Answer:
paul mccartney, hands down.
he and his current band ROCKED the place.
they were running up the walls (literally) and doing all kinds of crazy stuff.
and there were fireworks on "live and let die" that went off on stage.
and Helter Skelter WAS SOOOOOOO loud!
plus, paul sounded GREAT both vocally AND instrumentally :)
The Black Parade and Panic! At The Disco!!!
ZZ Top. Man, I think those guys blew out an amp!
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN- jAY-Z
So far I've only been to 2 concerts. I liked them both, but I REALLY enjoyed Steve Miller & George Thorogood last summer. I'd love to go see them again.
It has to be Peter Gabriel in the round that was the best concert.
then U2 followed by Bare Naked Ladies
Kid Rock - I knew the popular songs but the whole concert knocked my socks off. The crowd was awesome, I never wanted it to end.
Cricket Pavillion, Phoenix, AZ - 2006
My favorite was the Jonas Brothers. Yes, they are pop, but I hung with them all day and got their autographs. Me and my friends got backstage passes and we gave them hugs. Kevin was even flirting with me! It was great.
2 good ones (recently) .Lionel Ritchie and Take That
It's hard to choose between Iggy Pop and the Ramones, really great concerts!
panic of the disco
Tool
I'd probably have to say Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet tour...it was fabulous! I completely lost my voice!
Saw a live recording of Cross Canadian Ragweed...it was awesome.

iron Maiden and dragonforce
Aerosmith. I saw them in 1987 on the Permanent Vacation tour, the first big album and tour after they got clean. Steve Tyler was closing in hard and fast on 40 at that point, and not once did he stop. At the end of a 2+ hour show, dripping with sweat, he was doing backflips. I was completely impressed.
Duran Duran, summer 2005. First tour of the original lineup since the late 80s, early 90s. They still kick @$$, and you can tell why Nick Rhodes is in the band... he wrote 90% of it on that little Apple on his stand.
The Police, Synchronicity, 1983. Incredible songs, incredible energy.
The Cult, rock festival, 2001 (?). This is right before Ian began to sing for the Doors. Billy Whats-his-name plays Gretsch, and he just came on stage and rolled both his controls all the way. I just plotzed. It was fantastic.
Less fun:
Depeche Mode. Dave Gahan can't do all the movement for 4 people.
Rick Springfield. Nuff said.
Dave Matthews. WAY too crowded.
Pink Floyd. Due to the contact high, I can't remember anything. I have a tee shirt and a ticket stub, so I must have been there...
Allman Brothers. See Pink Floyd.
Bon Jovi. I wasnt a big fan until I saw them in concert. it was outdoors on a summer night and it was incredible
KISS.and my friends bands on the same record label we are
Lollapallooza 1 at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, CA. I remember that each band that I didn't really know much about made me fall in love with them! Body Count was awesome. Jane's Addiction has an awesome stage show and they sounded different live, but awesome!
It really just depends on how much you like the band. I used to flat-out hate live recordings because you miss the feeling of being there-or just hate applause noise, but, for example, if I have a recording of a Dead show I went to, I can relive it. If I really really like a band, I can deal. And if helps if they change things up; like Jimmy Buffet never "cuts his heel" on that pop top live! He breaks his leg in three places or something equally horrific!
guns n'roses
Ill Nino, Ten Years and Disturbed. It was at a very small outdoor amphitheater a couple of years ago. I got to meet the guys in Disturbed.
Ozzfest 2006, as well. It was my first Ozzfest and it was awesome! Can't wait until Ozzfest 2007!!
Oh, and I can't forget Metallica and Godsmack.
In my biased opinion I'd say Martina McBride. I say 'biased' because at the time I was a little more than halfway through basic training and I had not heard any music but marching and double time cadences. My mind and body was running on 6 weeks no caffine and I wanted to strangle all the chicks in my platoon. In reality, it wasn't that great of a concert...she did not sell enough tickets to 'real' people so they let us recruits join in on the fun.
Kiss. A wonderful atmosphere.
Charlie Daniels or Garth Brooks! CDB for pure talent and ability, GB for energy and entertainment.
