Display problem.. Please Help..!! Pls see description..?

and I have 32 MB onboard VGA with 512 RAM (480). but now in system properties it displays as "256 of RAM" (looks like not sharing VGA) why this different settings and how do i reset my screen resolution and RAM. Please help..
when i restart my computer after few minutes its working properly. but RAM problem is still same.

Hey Kate. jus Insert your Drivers & Documentation CD in da CD-drive and ReInstall VGA drivers... and restart ur system and chk the Display problems. ur problm will b solvd by dis...!
Try to remove and replace the RAM on the RAM card again. this resets the RAM and this might help 4 ur ram problem...!

since your video card is onboard and is sharing with you memory.
there is a 70/30 chance that your main memory has a defective area. which means you could try to change memory and see what happens
