Somewhat of a long process.
You must make sure each comptuer is part of the same workgroup.
Right click my comptuer, go to properties, click the COMPUTER NAME tab, click the CHANGE button at the bottom of the window, then at the bottom of the new window that pops up, under Work group type a name and make sure each comptuer has the same workgroup name. Also make sure your comptuer name is unique to one another.
Also you must enable file and printer sharing.
To do this you must right click the "My network places" icon on the desktop, go to properties.
Right click the connection that is actively your internet connection or network connection and go to properties.
There is a list there, make sure FILE AND PRINTER SHARING FOR MICROSOFT NETWORKS IS CHECKED ON ON ALL COMPUTERS U WANT TO SHARE FILES AND RESOURCES.
The next step would be to share any devices or directorys that you want with eachother, by right clicking a file, folder, printer or resource and clicking sharing and security.
Then you can set permissions and access there.
To view another persons shared directories and resources you can use the UNC path by doing this:
click START, point to run and click it
type \\COMPUTER-NAME where COMPUTER NAME is the name that you set up near the Workgroup options as stated in the first step I mentioned.

You have to first go into each computer and share to files or printer you would want other computers to see. Then, if you have a firewall on the machines, you need to allow file sharing. Lasly, the router might have a LAN-side firewall, basicly when you web into your router, if you see any option about file sharing, enable it, if you don't see anything, then don't worry about it.
