Adobe (Acrobat) Reader is free for download.
The full version of Acrobat is not free, and any free download will be illegal. But you probably don't need it. If you are using Mac OS or Linux, PDF creation is built into the operating system. For Windows, try PDF995 ( http://www.pdf995.com ), which has a free version, as well as another one that costs only US$9.95.
Acrobat is not freeware or shareware, you will have to buy it. However, if you just want Adobe Reader, go to www.adobe.com - that is freeware and lets you open & read .pdf documents.
