Device keeps changing when i apply on application sharing options on BT Home Hub. Why?

Question:

on the appication sharing page on the bt home hub home site i want to assign Bittorrent for application sharing. i select my computer (device), from a list, to be used in conjunction with this and click "apply". when the screen reloads, my flatmates computer comes up in the "device" box. why the hell is this?
any help would be greatly appreciated thank you xxx

It sounds like the router software is a little flaky. See if you can specify it by an IP address, or perhaps see what happens if you select the next option instead of your own computer.

If it lets you specify it by an IP address that would be the best option.

Another possibility you should be aware of, is perhaps your computer does not have a static entry (your IP address changes) - I would recommend going into your DHCP/IP address configuration page and see if you can add a static entry based on your mac address.
