Laptop advice?

Question:
I am thinking of getting this laptop:

hp dv6238ea(european code)
intel mobile, core duo 1.73GHz T2250 2MB cache
2GB ram
128 dedicated gphx 128 shared
15.4in bright,wide screen
integrated webcam and mic, remote control and DVD+/- dual layer writer
all about $1300

I can afford a 17" with Core2, but im not too keen on that screen size, is there diff in core and core2 that big? will i wish i had gone for the 64bit intel in a couple of months?
Is there anyone with a 17 that can say are the good or not?

Answer:
if u travel with ur laptop a large screen isnt good ... it gets in the way and annoys people ur sitting next to like on a plane ... plus theyre usually heavy ..
What will u be doing with the laptop?

The shared graphics memory is never recommended coz u r just using up ur ram and it also means the graphics on the laptop is crap. So if u will be doing a lot of graphics stuff, dont get this laptop. Better get one with nVidia or Ati cards with their own memory.

What's the max amount of ram u can put in that laptop? u might think 2GB is big but trust me, in a few years it will be the bare minimum, especially with windows vista taking over.

As far as screen size goes, u can take a small size and get a separate big screen for ur home/office afterwards when u can afford it and plug it on ur laptop.

Hope that helps.
