Blackberry Pearl USB problems. Please help!?
Question:
Here are my 2 problems:
(1) My computer says there is "no device connected" though my BBP is connected to it with a USB connector. Also, my desktop shows the icon "No Name", which is in fact my Blackberry Pearl. I can verify this when I click on "No Name".
(2) When I check my Blackberry's screen, it says the "USB charging current is not sufficient. Verify that your handheld is connected to a powered USB charging source and that the proper USB driver is installed." Like I said, I am sure it is connected.
I presume problems 1& 2 share the same issue. Is it my USB driver? If I don't have the correct USB driver, how can I locate the correct one? Which is the correct one?

Answer:
The Pearl will only sync with the Mac via Bluetooth. The Mac simply does not have the drivers to handle the pearl via usb, nor should it. It was not designed that way. For a Mac, bluetooth is the connection you should be using to both sync and also phone as modem. If you don't believe me, then simply call any Apple store and they will verify this information.
