Is there anything you can do to encourage more answers to your questions?

Question:
Obviously, clearly written questions with good grammar and few spelling errors are going to get better results - but what about questions that are well written and get buried in the que? It seems that people just answer what pops up on the main screen at the time they are looking and some great questions are getting few to no answers. Do you have any thoughts to share on how to get the most out of our questions?

Answer:
Me, I just hang out here in the "way back" and answer what I know in the sections I know it. I don't like the front page -- it is full of questions I have no desire to answer!

But from what I've seen, if you post to Polls & Surveys -- you'll get the number of answers you are looking for, if not GOOD ones!

So, quantity -- or quality?
Yes, be controversial.
ask more interesting questions
Encourage people to ask questions to which there are REAL answers rather than just inviting someone's opinion
I don't really think there is anything else to do. I prefer to mix between front page and older questions...it makes life more interesting
