Network Software?

Question:
Is there any software that allows me to: 1) Look at all the computers and devices connected to my network. 2) Monitor, Controll, Lock, Shut Down and Share my screen (or someone elses on the network) with the other computers on the network.

Answer:
There are several I am aware of, but they are designed for the enterprise and can be costly. IBM Director is free for IBM products, HP Openview is free to try, LANDesk software (formerly from Intel), Solarwinds to name a few. If you have all MS products you could create a domain or an active directory structure that does the same. VNC will allow you to do many of the things you want also, but it is a more manual process.
