Please help I may have a virus and it's a shared/business computer!! =[?
Question:
Answer:
First, go to the website of whatever anti-virus program you are using, and get the latest virus definition updates. Now, disconnect the network connection from your pc. Now, you will need to shut down your System Restore function in Windows. You do this by RIGHT clicking on My Computer, click on Properties, and then click on the System Restore tab. Click in the box that says "Turn off System Restore On All Drives". Once that's done, exit from there, and reboot your pc. As it starts up, keep tapping your F8 key to boot the pc into Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, run a complete scan with your anti-virus program. That should get rid of whatever virus you have. After that, again go to the System Restore, and UN-check the box you'd checked before. Now reboot into regular Windows mode. If you have more than one pc on the network, chances are you'll have to perform the above steps on each pc. Hope this helps.

First of all there is nothing to be scared of. Do you have some anti-virus software installed? Make sure you have the latest dat signature files updated. Run a system scan if you have antivirus software to look for the particular creature.
The only other thing could be the images were so big that it sapped up your virtual memory and therefore locked your computer up. Check your system resources to see if you maxed out your memory.
