I think something is wrong...?

Question:
I avoid doing anything at all if I am watching a TV show. Watching TV is my favorite thing to do. If I go out on a night when a show I like is on, all I can think about is missing my show and I can't wait to get home to my TiVo. I won't even join a gym, because I can do all my excersises in front of the TV... does anyone else share the same amount of love for fictoinal and "reality" adventures on the small screen?

Answer:
You are in the same type of situation as people that get addicted to online games. You want to live in a ficticious world because you don't feel your world is worth living in. You really need to break away from the television and enjoy all that life has to offer.
it's not a good thing what you are doing, i don't know if you are trying to avoid something, it's not healthy though. at least try and join a gym with t.v.s attached to the machines. Golds gym often has them.
I Love TV also, but I just record my shows and I can wait to watch them whenever I get a chance.Um.I dont know why you would love it so much you think about it when you are out with friends.maybe your friends are boring and you should go get some new ones!!
You need to get a life and stop being a couch potato. Gradually wean yourself from so much tv watching and do other activities.
There's nothing wrong with liking TV and certain shows. There are many advantages - it can be educational, it can keep you current with news and trends and potential dangers. It's when you do it in place of your other obligations and interests that it becomes a dangerous obsession. Try limiting yourself to only watching your favorite programs and turning the TV off otherwise.
