A strange icon appeared on my computer screen.?
Question:
"Use dial up networking to gain access to shared information
on another computer. Even if your computer is not on a
network, the computer you are dialing in to must be set up as
a network server for you to use its shared resources."
Soon after that, when I was working with a floppy, creating documents, after finishing it, I closed that file,; then a new file I had no part in creating appears on the list of files for the floppy disc I was just working on. One such was named Mfce.323.temp; another was Mfc2e5.temp. and there were many more. I couldnt delete the last one, but could delete each when a newer one showed up.
What is this? I do not have any internet service provider. I am on another computer now (yahoo) that is an internet service provider to get help. I came on yahoo to ask you computer geniuses for help, advice. Can anyone explain?

Safe Mode..Using the F8 Method
Restart your computer.
When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode.
Do whatever tasks you require and when you are done reboot to boot back into normal mode.
You need to do some research. I recommend google.Google is your best friend.
