Question:
I just recently saw one with these specs: Intel® Pentium® dual-core T2080(1MB Cache/1.73GHz/533MHz FSB, Genuine Windows® XP Home, 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display, 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM, 160GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive, 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Dell Wireless 1390 802.11b/g Mini Card (54Mbps) for $699. I'm a college student that will carry around a laptop sometimes. Is this worth my money, and is it good to carry around?
Answer:
That's a pretty good setup. I have a 6400 almost the same, only 1GB of memory, 120GB HD, and the best ATI card they had. It works pretty good for me. I bought a small waterproof laptop case to put my laptop in, then just put it in my book bag. Link to the case

Good value for your money. You may have to opt for the 9 cell battery if you need longer times on battery. But this could add to the weight a bit. The 6400 is already a 6 pounder.
