Is the Dell Inspiron 6400 good?

Question:
I just recently saw one with these specs: Intel® Pentium® dual-core T2080(1MB Cache/1.73GHz/533MHz FSB, Genuine Windows® XP Home, 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display, 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM, 160GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive, 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Dell Wireless 1390 802.11b/g Mini Card (54Mbps) for $699. I'm a college student that will carry around a laptop sometimes. Is this worth my money, and is it good to carry around?

Answer:
That's a pretty good setup. I have a 6400 almost the same, only 1GB of memory, 120GB HD, and the best ATI card they had. It works pretty good for me. I bought a small waterproof laptop case to put my laptop in, then just put it in my book bag. Link to the case http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... .
Good value for your money. You may have to opt for the 9 cell battery if you need longer times on battery. But this could add to the weight a bit. The 6400 is already a 6 pounder.
