How do I stop irritating animations on my screen?
Question:
I'm sure many of you will share my frustration. On visiting (it seems) nearly any website these days I'm bombarded with advertising in the form of animations/mini videos/cartoons. This is very distracting if, for example, you're trying to read a page of text and to the left or right (or left AND right) of the screen there is all this movement.
Can anyone please advise me if there's ANY way (in PC setting etc.) to disable these animations??
Thanks...
Answer:
Well, you could switch to the Firefox browser
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
and then install the Adblock Plus
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox...
extension. I use it, and the last time I saw a blinking add on my computer at home is many, many months ago...
Download FireFox(It's a browser) and download the plugin adblock. ^_^
FireFox:

AdBlock:

I agree with you: those ads are extremely annoying.
Most of them run off of the flash plugin. Go to Tools>Internet Options, and look around until you find the setting to turn flash off.
Use firefox.
Then download adblocker.
Also disable pictures by disabling options->load images automatically.
