Trouble installing cam?

i just bought new cam,,tried to install cd,,,but no dirctions,,appear,,on screen. i took back thinking cd was defective,,,,but still getting same thing with new echanged,,cd,,,. if someone would like to share some of thier vast technical knowledge with me ,,,it would be greatly appreciated,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks...

Answer:
Plug in the cam ( a window will appear promoting install info) now put ur cd in the cd rom. Press next and check CD rom and floppy > Press next now the web will be installed. Now as ur installation CD is Defective the main software for the web cam will not run ( cuz u mentioned u cant install it) So u can use ACD See ( for takink photos), Ulead Video Express for Capturing videos. U can also download the main software from the web.

is it a webcam? if so is it usb? what operating system do u have. example: windows XP

may i see you when its hooked up?

if the install cd is defected , just log on to there website n looking for the product code and download the software.
