What are some good 2 player cooperative shooter or beat em up games for playstation 2 or 3?

Question: examples like teenage mutant ninga turtles for ps2, battletoads and double dragon for snes, i like games where 2 players share the screen but in a story mode, i dont like split screen games like halo and all those other multiplayer split screen games i like shared screen games, please help
