Question:
I just turned my PS3 on to listen to music from my PC using the media server option. I have done this several times with no problem, but now on my tv screen it says "A connection to the media server cannot be established. Check the sttings for the media and network devices." I went in to media player to make sure sharing was still turned on and it is, so does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks!!

I get this occasionally I just restart the computer.
It means ur computer stopped streaming data to ur ps3, try disabling then enable file sharing in the library tab in the options in media player 11 menu. Or if ur computer has been disconnected from the router this message will also show up, make sure if ur comp is connected to the router.
