I want to know why my avatar does not show up on my IM screen but my friends does?

Question: me and mom and my sister share the same account but have different but my avatar only shows up on her yahoo mail thing when shes checking her yahoo mail

Answer:
you have to get on the messanger. click on the messanger drop down menu and click on my display image then click my avatar
