The Turion is AMD's version of Pentium M (for mobile computers), but the Pentium M will get you slightly better battery life. You'll want to make sure the hard drive is 5400 rpm or better (as opposed to 4200). Also, check to see what the capacity of the standard battery is. I think some typical capacities are like 56 Whr or 93 Whr.
...And Acer is a good brand. Not as popular in the U.S. but they are big in the U.K., which I assume you are from since you used commas instead of decimals.
Yes,,that is a pretty nice laptop but, I'm sure other's will say not.
it really depends on what u want to do with it. its not the greatest gaming laptop but for like typing or school its fine

and what's the price of it? estimated $1000 - 1100
the tech specifications looks good except the graphics, most likely a pretty decent Intel GMA 900 or 950. the drawback is - it's an Acer, built up with the cheapest parts, especially the case and the hinges.
i don't like Acer but prefer Toshiba.
Its probably a good Laptop cause its Acer cause I own a Acer And It works great!
