Both parties are primarily concerned with power. The republicans are no better than the democrats in that respect.

Excellent essay. Although I agree that with your point about the muzzled dogs not being torture, using the argument that our techniques are no where near as bad as methods used by other nations does not make our methods neccessarily right. But I do agree that Abu Graib was blown way out of proportion, though it was disgusting (except for the dogs).
