LCD Panel purchase - Viewing Computer/Cable Simultaneously?
Question: I recently purchased a new computer desk with hutch and would like to have ability to sometimes watch TV and use my computer on the same screen at the same time, or use only the computer or only the TV at any given time. My question is, is anyone doing this now? if you sit too close to the screen (it has to be on the desk-can't wall mount), do you get a headache after awhile? I am looking at Westinghouse 32" LTV-32w6 , Samsung 26" LN-S2641D, or the JVC 32" LT32X667. I know the Westinghouse supports the PBP VGA&TV combination, JVC does not. But it does support S-Video and TV. I am not sure about the Samsung. I am also wondering if I should just get another small 17" or 19" TV with a good picture and put it and my current PC LCD panel side by side. My budget is around $700-$800, but willing to pay more for the right solution. NOTE: I am planning on purchasing a nice 50" for the family room around X-mas, and wanted to spend the $$ there. Any advice would be appreciated.
Answer:
I think you might be able to do it with any TV that has a VGA port and picture in picture, then, with a wide screen, you could set the pictures side by side and watch them both, but for the computer you will need a VGA port as your second input source. The 32" LCD I got can do it. It has all the nec. ports and features. It's a soyo, a manufacturers brand. C.
