Networking xbox 360?

Question: Can I connect an xbox 360 directly to my xp home laptop without using a router. I dont care about gaming on the net, just want to stream music and pictures to tv using windows media connect (I think thats what its called) thanks.

u can just read the manual and try bcoz i know that my friend did that with his x-box so i'm sure u can do that too
