What happened? My monitor is not working.?

Question: I unplugged the monitor and some wires to move the CPU to the other side of the desk. After plugging everything back in I cannot get my monitor to stay on. I turn on the CPU and the monitor light comes on and then I hear and see it click off. Even when I try to manually turn on the monitor the light comes on and then goes right back off. I tried a different monitor that works with another CPU and got the same results. Any suggestions? This is my computer at a very small business so no IT support.
its broken.. buy a new one
check to see if you knocked the video card ect loose when you moved the pc
Umm, did you unplug everything from power first?
You made have fried your video card. Go buy a cheap one, and install it, see if that solves the problem
Your video card might not be well plugged. Also try to use the monitor without connecting it to the PC, it should show a "NO SIGNAL" message, if it works.
May the following reason of monitor not working:-

1) You not properly inserted the cable in monitor through power supply,

2) Your SMPS is failed.

3) Your monitor is crashed.

4) There is not proper voltage in your home.

May be it helps
First, you tried a monitor from another PC and got the same results. Next you need to try plugging your monitor into a PC that is working.

I think the problem is with your video card. When you disconnected your monitor from your PC to move it, you may have disturbed the connection between your video card and your motherboard.

To fix

Unplug your PC.
Disconnect your monitor from the PC.
Remove the PC case cover.
IMPORTANT: Touch any metal part of the PC case to ground yourself.
Remove and reinstall the video card. Be careful not to disturb any of the components on the video card.
Reassemble the PC and give it a try.
there may well be a plug on the back of the motherboard for monitor as well as maybe one on the back of a graphics card in the back too. motherboards do sometimes come with on board graphics which means if that has been disabled and a graphics card install instead then you WILL have two plugs on the back. there should only be two the same so try plugging into the other one.. easy mistake to make don't feel bad. hope this helps.
You are probably getting a boot log instead of a safe mode option screen. Try pressing F8 once again when you get the boot log even though F8 doesn't appear to be an option. This should take you to the safe mode option screen.
maybe video card took a dump?
If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
