New computer monitor.?
Question: I am buying a new computer monitor sometime soon. I got one of those large monitors but I still love it but I need room for two computer monitors on one desk and the only way I can do this is to buy a thin monitor. I do not want to spend over $350 after tax on the monitor unless maybe I half to.
My question is what are some of the specs I should look for. I do not care so much about the size of the screen but I do care more about the following.
Resolution: 1680 x 1050
Contrast: 600:1
Brightness: 300 cd/m2
and the DPI or what ever its called.
I do not know much about these 3 stats well I understand Resolution a bit. I want a thin monitor that is as clear and as sharp as the large ones.
Also I heard you cannot set the resolution on an LCD monitor like you can on a normal monitor? Because an LCD monitor is made to only support one resolution. Read here to know what I mean its in the first message at the top.
