Does anyone have any advice / support for when I return to work and face the conflict tomorrow?

Question: I got into a fight with a supervisor a few days ago because my team of managers (2 of which were not by any means qualified for the job) didn't prep their ad which is a part of their JOB and an ongoing issue. Them not prepping it put me behind in the morning, as it does every Sunday morning.

I then left the 3 of them a note (it came out a lot more nasty then I meant it to) on their desk that they have to be prepped (which I admit I shouldn't have worded the note the way I did). I left the note because no one is ever held accountable for what they do and don't do at my job, and I knew that they would continue to slack if I didn't do anything about it.

Basically, the supervisor thing doesn't bother me at all because everyone has a problem with her and many people have fought with her. The only thing I'm worried about is facing one of my 3 co-workers: she's one of those "no one messes with me" / "I'm a b*tch" always has an attitude type.

Any advice / similar experiences?

Answer:
be an adult. i think u are. apologize immediately to your co-workers. they now know (which they already did, cuz they are the ones that did not do their job in the first place) how you feel about their slacking. just start off: guys i want to apologize for the note, its just that when you all haven't gotten your prep work done it puts a lot of stress on me. bring some doughnuts or coffee. this will lighten the atmosphere. you are not wrong. u are in a bad situation. i always say a prayer too. let me know how it went will ya? i am the cajun police. good luck today
i think that u should use your chain of command and go above the supervisor. tell his boos that he isn't doing the job properly and that u want it.
if she tries to start an argument with you remind her she is petty and ridiculous as it is business not personal. May also be worth telling her that if she had done her job in the first place you wouldnt have left the note. If she still tries to argue then tell your boss you cant do your job as she isnt doing hers, i would skip past your team lead as they sound like a bit of a knob and go straight to your manager.
The best thing you can do is DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT with details. Use dates, times, and names. Include what projects and project managers are hindering you from doing your job(if it applies).

Use emails to ask for a time frame when ads are going to be done. If something is delayed ask in a polite email when it is going to get done. Bottom line is CYA!

Also please be courteous and kind to your co-workers (even if they are not to you). You know -Kill them with kindness and pray.

Works for me.
You'd better take the high road on this one. Admit you were wrong by leaving a nasty note and apologize. Let them know of your frustration when you don't get the info you need and you end up in the hot seat trying to make it all come together. Ask if there's anyway that a solution can be obtained to help all of you maintain the time frame without last minute hurdles. Last minute preparation leads to mistakes every time. It sounds like you're a contientious worker who wants to do her best. As far as judging who's the best candidate for any position, that's not yours to give. Let your supervisor know that things are falling through the cracks and give her details to back it up. Document, document, document. Remember to whom you answer for your work and don't sweat the pettiness of others.
