How do i get a fast connections when there are wifi connections or cellur hot spots in the area?
Question: I'm trying to get a fast bit rate without placing a wireless set up in my area and the mobile wifi like verizon doesn't move fast enough for streaming vidieo I'm located in chester new jersey zip 08817 and there are no wireless networks to connect to. I need something that can go through at over 1100kbps please I'm not looking for free but I can't drill a hard connection in the location, it's against corporate policy. please help.
You have to be in range of all these connections man. If you cant pick up another signal or its not fast enough, then you will have to purchase one.
try some 'war driving' which was popularized by the VW commercial. within recent years most wifi routers have open connections out of the box for ease of use. you would be surprised how many open connections you will find in a residential area, a good program to use is netstumbler (google it) and set it to refresh every few seconds. most broadband connections are rolling at 3kbps DL and 384kbps upload. be good though, no packet sniffing for illegal use.
stay up for as long as you can hold it down
