Can anyone help with sony walkman nw-a1200?
Question: Dunno if any of you have this walkman, but I've got this major compatibility problem. Their support desk is closed right now, so I'm hoping somone here might be able to help.
Basically, at first all I needed to do was install sonicstage. When I did, it said I needed all these windows updates for it to work properly. I gave it a go anyway, and they were right, so I installed them.
Unfortunately, the computer now doesn't recognise the walkman when it's connected in the USB thing (it did before I installed sonicstage). This is weird as it recognises everything else (ipods, digital cameras etc.). Even more weird is that sonic stage contains the driver for this device.
What happens now is that when I plug it to the USB, I get that noise that says something is plugged in, but it doesn't recognise it as anything. I've removed, reinstalled, everything short of rebooting windows itself. Any suggestions?

Possible solution.
If your computer has an AMD CPU, and Viatech USB Host Controllers; changing the USB Host Controller drivers to standard or generic drivers, may work.
