Balancing college with work and overcoming obstacles?
Question: I attend college full time (12 hours). I'm also working full time as a front desk clerk at a hotel. I live in a run down town with no future. The economy in this town is nonexistant as well as the job market. My only solice is the fact that I might be able to move out of here and go on with my life. My problem is this. I am suffering right now horribly. I think I might have bit off more than I can chew. My grades are slipping do to lack of sleep and my grueling work schedule. Yet, I have to support myself some way or another. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Do I take the leap and try to make it without a job? Do I try and make it with a stay at home business? I can't afford to drop classes. I need to get out of this town as soon as humanly possible. I know this is a really tough question, and that I might need to be answering this for myself. I just need any input I can get cause I'm at a loss. If anyone has had a similar experience please let me know how I might fix this problem.
Answer:
try a part time job, im doing 17 hours at school and 20 hours a week at work, and still have some time on the weekend. youll learn that sleep is better than money.
Can you do some of your school work while you're at your job? I took a job with some downtime so I could study while I was at work, if it not for that I wouldn't have made it through school.
