How does one bypass proxy settings on a proxy servers that blocks streams and media files like mp3, wma etc.?

Question: Proxy server is situated within the network

Answer:
You don't. It's called hacking, and hacking is illegal.
If the proxy is a physical connection on your network there is no way - sorry. Unless you use a machine that doesnt need the proxy (Macs usually dont use the proxy).

The proxy is literally a machine that sits between you and the internet connection, which means you have to disable the proxying of your connection completely. There is no way around the physical block.
You need to configure your proxy settings to allow this type of media to pass through. If you have administrative privileges you go to your firewall settings and configure the settings there. Usually you need the port numbers to do this. If you have a router you will need to go to the settings page and put in the proper IP addresses and the port numbers. Often some programs will provide a list of many of the most popular software programs and the settings which go with them. If you are the administrator you can access this information. If you are not sure how to configure our software, contact the vendors technical support for assistance.

If you are not the administrator and are using a limited account, you will not be able to configure any of these settings. You would be accessing an area you are restricted from. You can get in trouble if you attempt to make changes you are not authorized to make on the computer you are using.

Good luck in configuring your software to allow downloading music files.
