What?!?!?!? I'm just totally confused and dissapointed. Can someone cheer me up? Please!

Answer:
Hi Meg,

I'm sorry you've had a bad day. Since I'm not sure where you're writing from, I don't know what time it is, but if it's still early enough and you can get out, why don't you go a pick yourself up a little something to make you feel better? Everyone needs to pamper themselves sometimes and a bad day is a perfect time to do that. It doesn't have to be anything big--even a small little treat will do, as long as it's something you'll enjoy. Ask some friends to come along if you feel like having some company.

If that's not an option, then try to give yourself a good night at home. What makes you feel better? Listening to music, watching a favorite movie, taking a long bath, giving yourself a facial, exercising, talking on the phone or IMing with friends? Whatever it is, plan a night that will make you happy. I understand that you probably have homework, but try to get it out of the way as quickly as possible and make the rest of the night about you. You deserve it.

I know today was bad, but fortunately every day isn't like that (even though it sometimes seems that way) and tomorrow could turn out to be one of the best days of your life (and if not, at least it may not be bad). Before you go to sleep tonight, try to think of at least three good things that could happen tomorrow and don't dwell on anything that happened today. That way, you may be at least a little happier when you go to sleep and hopefully much happier when you wake up tomorrow.

Remember that a couple of weeks from now, you'll probably have forgotten about most of what made today so lousy. I hope the rest of your week is much, much better.
