Windows Media Player 11 not "seeing" files?
Question: Hey, so I'm a proud owner of a networked Xbox 360 gaming console and I recently discovered that when networked the 360 can play files streaming from any computer on the network. Problem is that the required software, Windows Media Player 11, does not recognize any of the media on my computer. All of this media was completely friendly with iTunes (I own an iPod not a Zune), and was acquired 100% legally. I need to "add" this media to the WMP library in order to access it from my 360, but it refueses to be found my WMP "background searching" for it. Also, attempting to drag the media manually into the library is fruitless.
What might be stopping the media from reaching the WMP11 library and how can I fix it?
Answer:
Unfortunately iTunes and Zune/Xbox rights protection (DRM) are not compatible. You can't listen to a track bought from iTunes on your Zune or Xbox and you can't listen to tracks bought from the Zune Marketplace on your iPod.
There are ways to bypass this but maybe they are illegal and I want explain them. But you can search by yourself on the internet.
