Building a cantilever using a math book, paper, paperclips, and tape?? help need ideas?

Question: goal: to create a cantilever beam that can hold the maximum load the maximum distance from the beam attachment point

materials: 1 piece of paper, 2 ft of masking tape, 1 paper clip, and 1algebra book

instructions: each group will create a cantilever beam using the materials supplied my teacher. A small can will be attached to the end of the beam. the can will be loaded up with pennies until teh beam fails. beams can be attached to the book with tape but can not be attached to the desk upon which the testing occurs.

judging: each groupwill receive a score based on the length of the beam, in centimeters, and the number of pennies that the beam can support. score = lenght x pennies.

* Any ideas would be very usefull thankyou

Answer:
roll and fold the paper repeatedly to get many layers.
Then the paper will be strong enough to act a s a beam.
then put on book and fix with masking tape.
Some length of rolled paper will be beyond the edge of book -acting as cantilever.
then attach a string and pennies.
Test.
Change the length frequently.
At one point, paper roll will bend from straight position.
Thn you can calculate length x weight
