What Ever Happened To Real Journalists and Real Journalism?
Question: Journalism? Whats that? All the Main Stream Media, including and especially NPR, 95% of it anyway is totally and utterly incapable of Reporting a story that is not soaked, slanted and saturated with Far Left Wing Hyper-Liberal Bush Hating-Bash and Blame America First Ideological Bias.
"Journalism"? ... Such a lonely word.
Yet there is one last bastion remaining and I can assure you it's not CNN and God forgive me NEVER the BBC ...
that "Fair and Balanced" Bastion of Journalism is none other than the FOX News Network.
FOX has the highest ratings of "all" major Cable News Networks "combined."
Journalism has degenerated to Liberal propaganda and hateful vitriol spewed by Democrats daily, anti-American and traitorous, and debasing distortions instead of the NEWS, that's journalism in the good old USA today.
Answer:
Sounds like Joe McCarthy is back from the dead. Anti-American? Because you don't agree with them doesn't mean they're anti-American. Blame America first? Sheesh.
If a story isn't told the way YOU want, it's not real journalism? Your opinion is the only right one? Conservatives are the only group that can be "real"?
And FOX is fair and balanced? Please.
I don't care if you agree with me, I just wish you could feel the same.
Im not commenting because everytime i do so, somebody report for abuse, which is foolishness.
I'm so glad I came across this. I was complaining earlier about how I can't even watch the news anymore because everything is specualtions and accusations just to fill the newscasters time. What ever happened to reporting the facts? And having your job be a nobel thing -- that being get the news to the people and keep them informed.
Everything is so bias and influentual to the person watching or listening to it, it's sickening.
As someone who studied writing and then pursued a job in journalism, just to leave it. I can empathize with you on what you are saying. Although I may have a different view and belief on things than you do, but I think we can agree that the news just isn't what it should be.
All news is bad news.
News these days is all about trying to catch the viewer with extreme slants and action. Think of it as news is trying to compete with movies and television drama for your attention as well as the fast paced world of the internet.
Which sounds more exciting to the casual reader "US Soldier Fight in Iraq" or "TROOPS FIGHT THE FORCES OF SATAN!"
