Can you change the 'zip code' of you internet?
Question: I mean when you visit a site they can tell where you are coming from and get an 'address'. this is the mechanism they use for blacking out mlb.tv games in local markets, so is there some type of virtual network i can visit and have it look like im streaming from california or something (and not the new york area)

You can configure your internet browser to use a proxy which will direct all traffic through another site. This is a great way to hide your real location from the rest of the web. There's some listed here:

internet has no zone improvement plan. what you're thinking of is the internet protocol (IP) address. yes there are ways of changing your apparent IP.
That would be an 'IP Address', unless I've got you wrong. You can use an IP changer or hider such as 'Hide IP' but you need to be careful because quite a few of them are used by hackers and spammers and they may have malicious bits. Norton is your friend.
