Stream media to xbox360 from network drive (NAS)?

Question: I used to be able to view pictures and stream music to my xbox360 when they were stored in the "My Music" and "My Pictures" folders on my PC. I have recently added a network storage device (NAS) to my home network and moved all my media files there. The Xbox only looks at my connected home computer; how can I get it to "see" the media on my network drive.

Answer:
I assume you are running Windows Media Player (WMP) 11 - if not, you should upgrade to WMP 11 as Windows Media Connect is now embedded in this player instead of being a separate program.
To share your files on your new storage device do the following:
1: Start WMP
2: Click the down arrow under the Library button to access options.
3. Select More Options
A new window will open and you should be viewing the Library Tab in the Option Window that just opened.
4. Select the Monitor Folders Tab in the middle of the new window.
5. Another window will open and now you can add or remove the folders that WMP will look for media. Once done adding folders click Apply and you should be good to go.

Good Luck...
