Is there a such thing as viewing major TV channels on your PC?
Question: I recently did a little research on Google for Internet TV, only came up with scammer sites. Does anyone know of a way to get the major network TV stations to come through your PC? I am talking about a live streaming type of thing. It would be exactly what's on TV if you turned it on. I live in an apartment where I cannot have a satellite dish and I detest Comcast and refuse to do business with them.
I don't mind paying for something legitimate, not looking for a freebie, however, I wouldn't necessarily turn my nose up at the thought, lol.
Oh yeah, I do have TVs in my apartment, so if there was a requirement for an actual television to be connected I do have that here. Not sure how this would work.

You can watch free channels on your pc.
Well, one thing I've used was an ATI All in Wonder video card, the coax cable line plugs into the video card. It was so cool, you could look at 20 good size thumbnail sizes of the stations at the same time, or even set live tv as your desktop background. It also had other video inputs so you could plug in other video sources to use for video editing.
get a TV tuner card. it tunes in television stations, attach cable(tv) or a coaxial antenna lead and watch tv on your computer monitor
There are more than one options. Easiest will be to use slingbox. It's a box that connects to a cabel box and then the cable can be viewed any where on internet. You can install this box at your or a friends home and you will get all channeles they have. You can pay for the rent on the extra box and you are good to go.
Other web channels are mostly slow and only sports channels are available.
