Will the PS3 have compatability with "media streams"?

Question: Will the PS3 Be Compatible with things such as SanDisk camera memory cards (CompactFlash) and will it have the ability to read DVD-ROM discs that DONT include a dvd video? Also, will the PS3 be able to download firmware updates off of the PS3 Online network?

Answer:
best bet dude, wait till it comes out november 17. no one has one and so no one really knows... sony has an issue with saying that it CAN do something but CAN'T do it when it comes out because they decided to cut it last minute... they will be using Blu-Ray discs... they say that the PS3 will be supporting these types of discs: CR-ROM, CDR+W, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, and DVD+R. i've also read somewhere that they will support memory sticks and cards like sandisk, as that will be used as memory cards for the PS3 games... and you will be able to upload pictures from your digitial cameras too but like i said who knows... they might change it last minute...
