Why do Recruiters lie?
Question: I started a job in Feb. in which I was give this happy story about the enviroment. Three months later, Im still not trained, I have no cubile, I sat at a table/party desk, and still did not have computer login access which is 95% of my job. So I left learning nothing! The second job, inwhich today was my first day, I told the Recruiter that I want a desk and and I did not want a Admin position that was a front office secretary!! I hate jobs like those. I wanted to be an Admin of Admins that help support a general office. This means own cubicle, no sitting at front saying, hi how are you 785 times. He agreed my requests, which are very minor were fine.
So I get there and Im in the front, answering phones, my salary has changed, im under a new company! Why dont recruiters listen?! I told him over and over about what I need in a job. He came to me, I didnt come to him?! I left early because I didnt wanna go through Job from Hell part 2.
Whats up with this?
Answer:
Recruiters are expected to hire a certain amount of people or else they are not doing their jobs...That's why they will exaggerate, especially if the jobs they are recruiting for are not particularly enjoyable or high paying. As for temp agencies, the kind of job you can be put in can vary so much that it's hard to be very accurate about what kind of job you will wind up with...However, if you are a recent entrant to this industry, you might have to start at the bottom before you can move up to a more supervisory position. The best way to find out about a job is to ask friends that have worked there or are currently working there, because they will be more honest about what really goes on.
They have numbers to fill & theyll say anything to get you to sign your life away.
I would suggest finding another staffing company to work for. It is true that they have positions to fill but, if they are not filling the right people in the right position, it makes them look like idiots. So ... find another staffing company. One that is corporate owned would be best.
Recruiters lie because they're bring paid commission for every person they hire. It's best to research the recruiting agency first and see if it fits you.
Recruiters are playing both sides of the fence, however, they get paid for placements, so they will stretch the truth to place you.
GOOD MAYBE THEY LIED TO YOU BECAUSE THEY KNEW YOU WERE DUMB AND THAT YOU WOULD FALL FOR IT..THEY NEEDED SOMEONE TO SAY HI TO EVERYONE! HAHAHAHA..
