I interrupted a repair to my wired network in mid stream and now I can not get a connection. Any suggestions?
Question: My wireless router still works and I can receive a wireless transmission.
what kind of error are you getting? Have you checked the TCP/IP settings?
I can offer more advice if you can provide more info: (do the following from a dos window)
netstat -rn
and
ipconfig
and psot your results along with what the problem/error you are seeing/getting

If you're talking about the Windows networking repair option, all it basically does is disable the driver, clear any caches associated it, re-enable it, and request a new IP address through DHCP (depending on configuration).
Rebooting would effectively perform the same task, along with just hitting repair again.
Assuming the same router is used for wired and wireless, you know the router itself is most likely ok since the wireless part of it works, therefore from the wording of your question it leads me to think cabling could be a place to look for problems. Check the cables that go from the router to the network interface card and make sure they are "clicked" into place. Also check the network interface cards themselves at the back of the pc's in question and make sure they are seated properly. I recently had a problem simular where the NIC had gotten a little loose and wasn't working till I opened the pc case and re-seated the card and relocked it in place. Also, is it all wired connections or just one. More information would be helpful.
