My Ipod is being a dueche bag, please help me before I throw it out the window?
Question: Alright my predicament goes like this, I bought an video ipod 30 gig. It was working great untl about a month ago. One day I put an episode of family guy on it. I turned it on and click on the episode. The ipod froze and in a few minutes it started back up. So I tried again. Started back up, and I tried something else, something I knew would work.
Froze.
I got mad so I sat it on my desk and let it charge for awhile.
Later that night I turned it on, and the apple logo showed up, followed by a exclamation mark with a triangle beside a folder icon. Telling me to go the support page. Went there tired everything.
I reformated it, restored to defaults, reinstalled itunes, reinstalled the ipod software.
Still nothing. I can use it as a portable hardrive, but thats about it.
O its also making clicking noises, but I think this might be normal, but it might not be.
Anyway I only get the ipod control folder in there.. Please help me, I would be so greatful.
I'll try anything.
Answer:
Sounds like a big problem. That has never happened to my iPod Video before. Don't you have like a year guarantee when you purchased it? So that when something happens, and it's clearly not your fault, you can go back to Apple and change it for a better one.
Sorry not much of a help but that's what I did to my iPod mini before and it's still working fine until now.
Oh, I also heard that iPod Video's still a work in progress, hence, its shortcomings.
sounds like something's *really* wrong with it. take it back to the store and ask if they can refund you or exchange it for a new one
that clicking sound is the hard drive, and should NOT be audible. I think its factory service time.
