Internet question?

Question: do any of you know if and how to make a dsl internet connection faster? if it helps i live in america and go through attt (sbc) yahoo dsl. and have a efficent networks speed stream 5100 b modem and dont have a router

Answer:
I have Verizon DSL, it's wicked fast. I know that on Verizon they send you these filter things that you need to plug into every jack in your house that has a phone connected to it. But not on the line that goes to your DSL modem. But Verizon did say that if you don't plug the filter into every phone jack with a phone attached to it, that you would experience a slower Internet connection, they also recommended turning off the modem for 15 seconds and then powering it back on to improve speed. It may work the same for your service or you could just look into Verizon's service if you have it in your area.
no you can't really make it any faster unless you get a better service
upgrade service or get comcast since its at 6mbps and att yahoo is 1.5mbps or 3.0 mbps
If you've had your modem for a long time, it might help to "reboot" it.turn it off on the back of the unit (on/off switch) and then back on after about 2 minutes or so.
increase your ram, you run xp?
