Wireless music streaming options ?
Question: I have a Centrino laptop and want to send music to another room. I would also like to be able to control whats played from the other room. 2 questions :-
1. Can my Centrino laptop 'send' the music to a receiver in the other room if I don't have a wireless network (I use a wired internet connection) ?
2. If so anyone got any recommendations for a good simple receiving device ?

That depends on what you're trying to use to play the music. If it's another computer, you can share your drive across the network and simply play the file remotely. Ethernet has more than enough capacity to do this.
If you're trying to play it from your stereo, you probably need to go wireless, else it'd just be easier to lug your laptop into the other room and play it from there. Check out this device: http://www.cd3o.com/
