What is the process to recover a deleted yahoo group?

Question: A group that I've been a moderator for has been deleted. I also have the owner of the group who is willing to help in recovering the group. We have contacted the support desk of yahoo who wanted details about the group to help with the recovery. We have sent this across, but we have no replies from Yahoo!. Yahoo! has asked for details such as "zip code", "secret question" etc. which was given at the time of creating the group. However, none of the questions are asked when a group is created. We are kinda stumped at this stage. From Yahoo!'s reply, it appears that the group can be reinstated at the inititative of the owner. The owner of the group is willing to help, but we are not sure how to go about this process. The group had about 2000+ users, 32000+ posts and was active for 5 years before it vanished, leaving all of us lost!

Answer:
Well, 2000+ users means great success. I think some of you can get a petition done and submit it at Yahoo office, with a nice request.

The thing is Yahoogroups is a FREE service of Yahoo; so you must understand the lack of interest from the company!!!!!
Just continue the process. You managed to get a response and you sent your info. Now get the owner to take the next step, using the same address and the "case number" that was in the subject line of your correspondence with the company.

Hopefully by the time you read my advice you will already have your group back. I wish you luck.
