Effectively this is all about checking the software and hardware so that if loads of people access the site at the same time it will be able to cope with the load without everything falling over.
Capacity planning is ensuring there is enough capacity in the software/hardware so if the amount of people visiting the website rise with time then it will still be able to cope.
