Web pages not loading?
Question: Since around december last year, some pages do not want to load for me. However, on other peoples computers and college computers it works fine.
I've tested the same page on, IE 6 & 7, Firefox, Opera
Ive checked all known options in firefox that Id think would cause a problem (cookies, cache etc..)
Yet, it still doesnt want to work for me?
I reformatted today as my computer was mainly slow, and as well to see if it would fix the error but it didnt.
Any help?
Answer:
I was once told if the pages sometimes don't load, just try hitting the refresh button. It has worked for me in the past.
Seems like its not a problem with your computer... its a problem with your internet connection... sometimes many pages load from the cache...
so try connecting another laptop to the same internet connection and see if you face the same problem or not...
If not than I would suggest changing the network card of your computer.
Good luck...
contact ur internet service provider.
m sure he has blocked those websites...
i work in an internet providing company so i know it
Very unlikely to be the problem given the timescale, but you could try flushing your DNS cache. Type
ipconfig /flushdns
at the command prompt.
Are you using a proxy of any sort?
You'll need to check that you've set your DNS server setting correctly in your broadband router - make sure they are the same as the ones your broadband provider gave you in their joining instructions.
try pressing refersh
