I don't know of any insurance companies that would give you an issue without a SSN. I also am not an expert so there could be some. My husband is an insurance agent and runs into this problem alot. They always sign people up with this problem with a discount plan, not insurance. It is guaranteed issue. It's not full insurance but then again it's alot cheaper too.
You need international insurance. Search internet for it.
US carriers require at least legal residence.
you need to get travel insurance before you enter the country. Ask the VISA office. They should have a listing of travel insurance carriers available to you, in your country.
