The reason is that we can't afford to have high medical insurance contributions deducted from our miserable earnings. Simply stated: the better insurance coverage is, the more money it costs. I wish I could know why Canada can afford to give its citizens excellent health insurance and USA can't. What's the secret?
And more and more employers avoid helping their employees to pay for insurance. Many of them can't afford it or simply try to save as much money themselves as they can.
Hilary Clinton is government employee, so she can enjoy benefits government provides for the most valuable people for very little cost or no cost at all. Besides, she probably can pay for any insurance she can get, even the best, being paid from our taxes we all have to sweat out.
