MEDICAID
Any plan you'd get wouldn't cover past proceedures. Plus, they might not pick you up at all with an existing condition.
Sometimes you can get free or low cost medical care from your university. Also, do a web search on your state for individual insurance policies.
Lots of us don't have much money but are expected to pay our bills even if it takes years. Doesn't matter that you go to school full time or not.
Check with your state or county Health Department or Children and Family Service Department...they should be able to help you. States have different medicaid programs...sometimes it takes time to get approval, but it's good to get the ball rolling on it.
You should probably qualify for Medicaid. You can also ask to speak with the hospital's social worker to explore your payment options. I was able to continue as a rider on my mom's insurance until I was 25. Don't know if that option is also available for you. Best of Luck!
You will get up to 80% discount on CAT scan, MRI
and other laboratory work as a member of
MySimpleCard. There is no paperwork or red tape
and signup online is really easy. They may even
be able to help you with the bill you are receiving
for this past CAT scan.
listen to your mother and fiance, they might know.
