Can anybody enlighten me on TFL plan to remove all platform kiosks on the underground?

Question:
It has come to light that Ken Livingstone and TFL want to remove all platform kiosks on the London Underground network. Why? The official line is that they cause an obstruction due to people buying their papers and confectionery; health and safety one assumes. I wish they would concentrate more on the safety of passengers from violent crime on the underground and perhaps iron out the constant delays with the service?

Answer:
If you don't like London, do what I did and move somewhere else.
its so the cctv cameras can see you. Wherever you are.
