Can the Plan B pill affect future periods?

Question:
I took the Plan B pill in the middle of my cycle in March. I started my period at 26 days just as normal, and was not pregnant.

I am now waiting for my next period, and am on Day 31 with no sign of it showing up. I know I am not pregnant as we have not had intercourse during this cycle for reasons related to my health, etc. And I tested yesterday anyway, and it's negative.

Is it normal to have a usual period on time after taking Plan B but have the NEXT cycle screwed up, or is there something else wrong with me? I would think that the effects of the pill would be gone by now since I have had 1 normal period 2 weeks after taking it and I am not on any other form of hormonal birth control.

Answer:
You said you were having other health issues---they could be the cause. Also, your period being late could be attributed to about a million other factors such as being stressed, sick, etc. Wait a few more days and if it doesn't show up, call the doc because over the counter prego tests do sometimes have false negatives and other factors do need to be determined.
